I rather you go buy the mice from the pet store. Feeding your reptiles wild mice will more then likely kill them. Wild mice have parasites that will be transferred to your reptiles when they eat them. Now the parasites will also breed faster because of the heating in the reptile tank. Plus if your using mouse traps that have chemicals on them, the chemicals would kill faster then the parasites. You can breed your own mice it only takes about a week before they start breeding. This is what I did I bought 1 male and three females and gave them a nest to breed in. It only takes a month or two and you'll have enough babies to fed a reptile army.

You may be breaking the law in using sticky boards in a manner to which they have not been authorised for use. Also you state that you do not like to kill or see dead mice, which is perhaps a contradiction to the use of these boards inasmuch as you are expected to despatch them upon capture and to dispose of them in a safe manner by which you do not endanger non target species. Simply letting them go again is also an offence.

Beyond this please take the advice already offered on filling holes so as to reduce its travel. Invest in a professional to review your situation and to provide yu with a plan of action. Doing anything else is often a fools way of saving money.

A larger dynamic range - I would love a digital camera that can give me an image with a full 5 to 7 stop range of light without losing detail in either the highlights or the shadows, no noise (although some of the very high end canons can render a long exposure image without noise in the shadows- 5D and above). Full frame digital cameras exist, but they are $$$$$$ - please lower the prices.

A PC socket in all digital SLRs - regardless of price (yes, that means the Rebels too!)

Printers and monitors that can print and show the full gamut of color the sensor can record as well as fully render that huge dynamic range I'm beggin for - spare me the talk on stacking and HDR - this is way too time consuming to do on a lot of images.

World peace.
